School Events at Samastipur

On 04.04.2024, the students of Grade (1 to 8) participated in their first activity of their new Academic Calendar (2024-25) : Jumpstart Activity

The theme of the activity was "Ink and Imagination- Crafting Tales Through Comics'. The students showed their inner talents expressing through different media. They wrote about their favorite superheroes.

The Jumpstart Event has activities that are supposed to be carried out before the theme is introduced in the school. The motive is to immerse the students in the theme without directly telling them what it is all about.

It was a special occasion at Podar International School, Samastipur as we embarked on a new Academic Session (2024-25). A special assembly was organized to mark this day. It was attended by New students along with the old ones. The assembly had all the regular features required for a new beginning. It was addressed by our Hon'ble Principal Mr. Parveen Kumar Zear who outlined the importance of a new Academic Session for students as well as for the other concerned stakeholders. He welcomed the newly admitted students. Importantly, he emphasized the value of hard work and urged the students to put their best efforts forward.

On 02 April 2024 awareness Programme was held from 08:00 AM to 09:00 AM in Multipurpose Hall for School Transport Employees. It was chaired by Honourable Principal, Parveen Kumar Zear. HM, AO, RTS, Bus Didis and Bus Drivers actively participated in the awareness programme.

The main purpose of such a programme was to guide and deliver proper safety and security instructions to the bus employees while handling students on the bus and to impart the awareness about the good touch and bad touch among the bus employees. It was concluded that once in a month such meetings would be held under the vigilance of the Principal Sir for the effective monitoring of the behavioural conduct of the employees as per the imparted instructions.

It was a very special day at Podar International School, Samastipur on 31 March 2024, as we organized the Parents' Orientation Programme for the new parents who trusted in us and got their wards admitted at our school.

The programme was planned as well as executed in three slots starting at 11:30 AM and ending at 3:00 PM. We were thrilled to see the parental support in terms of their strength and active participation.

The programme began with an encouraging speech delivered by our hon'ble Principal Mr. Parveen Kumar Zear, who highlighted the importance and intention of such a programme in schooling of a child. The Leadership Team of teachers detailed about the system working at our school. There were Q/A sessions too. The parental involvement was quite noticeable. Overall it was a memorable event.

It was the result day at PIS, SAMASTIPUR as we organized our 4th OPEN HOUSE on 30/03/2024. The inflow of parents along with their wards started at 9am and it continued till 2:30pm. It was incredibly successful in terms of parents' participation in fruitful parents-teachers dialogue.

The parents were very satisfied with the efforts this school puts on its students. They appreciated our journey of shaping young minds.

The students were quite enthusiastic to see their results and to begin their new grades on 4th of April.

Hon'ble Principal, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear and Respected Vice Principal, Mr Chandan Kumar Choudhary kept interacting with the parents in order to allay their concerns if any.

To motivate our young Podarites for the challenging moment of the academic year, Podar International School, Samastipur organizes a Special Assembly on the theme of "Yearly Exams" to make our mighty warriors ready for the big days.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear took the sensitive responsibility on his shoulders as he preached about the tips and rules to be noted and followed during the Exams. The Assembly was filled with motivational songs and speeches which geared everyone.

In this technological era, 3D Printing is the call of the hour. To enrich our Podarites with the rich elements of Computer Science, Podar International School, Samastipur organizes an effective competition of 3D Showcase, to present the wondrous models made by our students. It was not a job of a day or two but the hard turmoil of months laid by our students under the guidance of our dedicated team of Computer Teachers who successfully brought life to the models of Filament.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear, expressed his joy over the efforts put in by the students and motivated them accordingly. Our Honourable Vice Principal Sir, Mr Chandan Kumar Choudhary also congratulated the learners for experimenting on the wonders of the 3D World.

The Competition was no doubt a cut throat one as all the participants brought the best they could as they made the lifeless models of Filament alive.

Our panel of judges : Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear, Vice Principal Sir, Mr Chandan Kumar Choudhary, Computer Faculty, Niladri Sarkar and STEM In-charge, Anjali Shrivastava sat down to announce the results.

The first position was occupied by the following sections of Grades of 5 to 8. Grade 5 Lily, Grade 6 Lotus, Grade 7 Lotus, Grade 8 Lily.

The winners knew no bounds of joy as they took the trophies in their hands handed over by our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear.

We congratulate our students for the efforts put in by them and also extend our wishes to our Computer Faculty - Vishal Kumar Gupta, HOD Computer, Niladri Sarkar and Ravi Kumar for the guidance shown by them.

To enrich our Podarites with the secret of safety measures, Podar International School, Samastipur organizes a Fire Drill Event to showcase the requirements to be fulfilled in the hour of danger.

A small demonstration was also conducted to reflect the steps to be taken during such a terror.

The students observed the act and paid heed to the necessities to be handy with without panicking and worrying.

To embark our students with confidence and innovation, Podar International School, Samastipur organizes a colorful and powerful House Competition on the theme of Significant People named - Call for Action.

The event was beautifully designed and organized by the talented students of each of the Houses. Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear stepped forward to motivate the students and encouraged them to showcase the best of their skills. The Competition was all about making Placards and Posters on the following topics: Acceptance, Kindness, Self Love and Seek Support.

The students worked in groups thundered the event as they marched through the campus shouting out slogans and expressing their thoughts. Our Honourable Vice Principal Sir, Mr Chandan Kumar Choudhary, especially appreciated the participants for showing the zeal and enthusiasm. The Competition was tough and challenging for the Judges to announce the winners. But as the philosophy of life says that every game declares a winner and so has been the declaration.

The First Position was bagged by the ignited House of Team Ignis.
The Second position was taken by the calm but strong waves of Team Aqua.
The Third Position was captured by strong currents of Wind - Team Ventus.
The Last Position was occupied by the green leaved House of Team Terra.

The event was wonderfully presented and the efforts put in by the students showcased the beauty of democracy.

A total of 127 Students not only participated in the Competition but also made everyone proud by bagging Certificates of Excellence. 24 Students held the positions of Gold Medalists.

The program began with the grand welcome of our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear, Vice Principal Sir, Mr Chandan Kumar Choudhary, GM Sir, Headmistress Ma'am and the Guest of the day, Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma, PIS, Gaya.

The program was showered with bountiful blessings as the lamp lighting ceremony was held which was followed by the soothing Saraswati Vandana.

To motivate and encourage our Podarites, our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear took the stage expressing his ideas of strength and wisdom.

The zeal of the event was carried on as the wonderous Welcome Dance was presented by the students.

The entire day was a snap book collection of merry drills and races which was beautifully carried out and presented by our talented students.

The score board calculations declared the winning houses where House Ventus took the second position and House Aqua held the first one.

The law of nature simply states that every beautiful thing is destined to meet its end and so was our program.

The mighty Podar Flag was brought down with the National Anthem being played at the background.

Sports is the energy running in the veins and to celebrate the undying spirit of it, Podar International School, Samastipur organizes the most awaited event - The 8th Annual Sports Meet 2023-24, for Grades I to V on 29.12.2023.

As the sun started shedding its rays, the drums of enthusiasm blew out loud welcoming our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear, Vice Principal Sir, Mr Chandan Kumar Choudhary, Headmistress Ma'am, Rashmi Chandel and the Guests of the Day who walked the ground of pomp of glare.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear cordially welcomed the Guests of the Day who were Principal Sir of PIS, Muzaffarpur, Mr Umakant Tiwari along with his wife, Mrs. Tiwari. We were also overwhelmed to have SHO Karpoorigram, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh.

The program commenced with the most auspicious lamp lighting ceremony followed by the soothing Saraswati Vandana.

All eyes were mesmerized with pride as the wonderous School Flag touched the blue sky with the Podar Anthem being played.

This was followed by the House Inspection where the four brilliant houses - Aqua, Terra, Ventus and Ignis were displayed with an aura. The March Past event was undoubtedly a never to miss sight as the students of PIS, Samastipur along with Podar Prep thumped the ground.

After a captivating Oath Taking Ceremony, the awestricken torch light run began with which our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear announced the commencement of the 8th Annual Sports Meet, 2023-24, the roar of enthusiasm blew high.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, stepped forward to motivate the students and preached the importance of the stamina which lies in the hearts of Sportsmen. Complimenting his speech we were honored to have a few words of wisdom and knowledge passed on by our Honourable Guest, Mr. Umakant Tiwari, PIS, Muzaffarpur and Headmistress Ma'am.

After a very enjoyable and energetic start the program began which was an album of musical drills and superb races.

From Parachutes to Handkerchiefs, and Poms Poms to Balls the event was beautifully designed. The Umbrellas, Dumbbells and Tambourines added to the glory of the event making it a spectacular sight to see.

We not only had races for students but also for our parents and teachers who participated in the activities and performed outstandingly.

Time flew by unnoticed as the end of the event approached soon, encouraged by our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear, we signed off for the day getting ready to come together tomorrow which is the last day of the 8th Annual Sports Meet 2023-24.

After a successful and enthusiastic tournament of Boys' Cricket Championship, Podar International School, Samastipur keeps the spirit of the Podarites unbeatable by organizing an Inter House Cricket Championship for Girls of Grades 7 to 10.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr. Parveen Kumar Zear, declared the commencement of the Match by choosing the Houses who were to face each other on the ground.

The first Match was played (11.12.2023) between the two Houses of Ventus and Aqua where the yellow house of Ventus ruled the field by winning the game.

The Second Match (13.12.2023) witnessed the daring teams of Houses Terra and Ignis where the green team took all the praises by winning the Match.

The final game (13.12.2023) was played between Ventus and Terra House which was very excited and challenging to watch. After a tough fight the green flag flew high as House Terra won the match.

As the ground echoed with the sound of claps and applause, our Honourable Vice Principal Sir, Mr Chandan Kumar Choudhary stepped ahead to motivate the students and encouraged them to keep facing the challenges of life by never giving up.

1st Match - Player of the Match - Anshu, 9A House Ventus.

As the students show more eagerness in learning and knowing about Mythology, Podar International School, Samastipur organizes a colorful and unique House Competition on the theme of Wall of Myths.

The event was beautifully designed and organized by the talented students of each of the Houses.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear stepped forward to motivate the students and encouraged them to showcase the best of their skills.

The Competition was all about adorning the Soft Boards assigned to the Houses with awestricken information on Mythologies of countries namely - Greece, Japan, Egypt and Mesopotamia.

The students worked in groups and presented their works wonderfully. They expressed their work of research in the selected words which they spoke as they were bound by time.

As the waving clouds of Autumn bid us a Goodbye, the shivering winds of winter enter our lives, so to fill this wintery season with sparks of heat, Podar International School, Samastipur organizes an Inter House Cricket Championship, 2023-24, for Boys of Grades 7 to 10, to beat the drums of enthusiasm.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear stepped forward to take out the names of the Houses which were to perform against each other.

On the first day (04.12.2023) two of our dedicated houses, Team Ignis and Team Ventus faced each other unapologetically and with striking sixes and fours, Team Ventus won the match.

On the second day (05.12.2023) a challenging match was played against Team Aqua and Team Terra in which the Green Flag flew high, beating the Team Aqua.

The final wait was over as, on 06.12.2023, the finalists faced each other and Team Terra and Team Ventus pulled up their socks to set the ground on blaze.

After a series of sixes and fours, the lions of the Green House roared out loud and waved the flag high as Team Terra won the tournament.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr. Parveen Kumar Zear congratulated the winners and inspired all the players to keep batting and bowling on the pitch of life.

He proudly awarded the prizes to the brilliant players who bagged the following positions :
1st Day Man of the Match - Master Himanshu Kumar, Grade X, Ventus House.
2nd Day Man of the Match - Master Hamza Ali, Grade VII, Aqua House.

The 3 days of hard work and dedication put in by the students was beyond words of appreciation. We congratulate the winners and acknowledge the efforts put by all our talented players of each House, Sports Department and House Mentors to make this event a success.

As the students enjoy themselves flipping the pages of mythologies, Podar International School, Samastipur organizes a colorful and exciting event of Express Yourself on the theme of "Mythbusters".

Students of Grades I-VIII participated happily and expressed their creative skills wonderfully.

Grades I-II wrote their innocent thoughts on pages of wonder as they participated in the Activity of Tooth Fairy.
Grades III-IV shared their opinions as they participated in the Activity of Pandora Box.
Grades V-VI framed their stories as they participated in the Activity of Sentence by Sentence.
Grades VII-VIII held the pen of creativity as they took part in the Activity of Script Writing - An Evening With a Mythical Creature.

The event was joyfully held and the students expressed their creative ideas beautifully.

As the festive season comes knocking at the door, Podar International School, Samastipur gears up to celebrate it fully by organizing a colorful and exciting event on the occasion of Deepavali. Students of all the Grades participated enthusiastically and presented a breathtaking performance.

The program commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony followed by a devotional song by our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear and Vice Principal Sir, Mr Chandan Kumar Choudhary.

The event was beautifully embellished with wonderful songs and energetic dance performances which was accompanied with a huge round of applause.

The essence of the celebration was carried forward with creative activities as
Grades I-II made beautiful Diyas in the Diya Making Celebration.
Grades III-IV showcased their talent in the Paper Latern Making Celebration.
Grades V-VI showcased their skills in the Toran Making Celebration.
Grades VII-VIII beautiful presented their ideas in the Coconut Decoration Celebration.
Grades IX-X used their brilliance by participating in the Poster Making Celebration.

The entire day was beautifully spent and celebrated to its fullest and we as an institution of knowledge we wish all our Learners a very happy Festive season.

Highly qualified and talented members of the reputable organization Brahma Kumaris joined us to preach the message of modesty and humbleness. We had Mr. BK Rajiv Dhawan, Ms. BK Savita and Mr. BK Tarun with us who filled our mornings of 03.11.2023 and 04.11.2023 with thoughts of spirituality and wisdom.

Our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear cordially welcomed the guests and honored them magnificently. Furthermore, he motivated all the students to actively lend their ears to the knowledgeable and much needed session which can not only help us to become good students but also good individuals.

As Mr. BK Dhawan took over the stage, he enthralled everyone with his mesmerizing speech and the powerful words used by him throwing light on the social evil of Addiction. He emphasized on the greatness and the divinity which lies in a soul and by including some brilliant activities he concluded the session with an oath. An oath taken by all promising to be an active part in the mission of eradicating Addiction.

The session ended with claps roaring inside the campus and happy faces of all the learners who not only learnt a good lesson but got the approach towards a healthier life.

To emphasize the significance of Mental Health, We have conducted a fruitful and magnificent special assembly on the theme of "Mental Health Awareness."

The event was especially organized to raise the importance of Mental Health not only amongst students but teachers as well.

Our Honourable Principal, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear stepped forward to spread the idea of Mental health and what significance it contains in one's life and body.

As the festive season gets turned on, We also gears up to spread the colours of happiness and beat the drums of joys by organizing a memorable "Navaratri Celebration" during the Special Assembly.

The students were dressed for the act and played their parts perfectly, three students played the roles of three successful entrepreneurs who interacted with the audience answering their questions.

The conversation covered many intectual topics of how a business works and what is the role of an entrepreneur in it. It also raised the significant concern which is often ignored by many, the damages caused to the environment in the process of building an empire. The discussion among the students clarified that the goal of a healthy environment can be achieved by sustainable development which allows the future generations to utilize the resources efficiently.

The skit was composed wonderfully and the presentation left everyone spellbound with applause.

The program began with the most awaited and cherish able moment of Flag Hoisting, all heads held high with pride as the National Flag flew grandly in the blue sky. Following the indeed awestricken moment, came a break taking dance performance by the Girls of Grades VII-VIII who took everyone's appreciation with them.

A bona-fide team of brave officers stormed the campus as they introduced many useful techniques to be used for our safety. Our Events Coordinator, Mr Niranjan Sharma, stepped forward to light the spark of safety. He gracefully held the procedures which are to be followed when the bells of danger are ringing behind.

Our respected Principal, Sir Mr. Parveen Kumar Zear has briefed on the importance of essential elements of safety at school, Hygiene and Discipline. By the end of the meeting, the students came forward raising various questions in their minds which were magnificently tackled by the teachers.

The above line is known to all but often ignored welcoming danger which leaves us distressed. To enrich the youth of today with the importance of safety and prevention, we organize a special and fruitful meeting of Boys' Welfare on the topic of "Cyber Safety".

The more digitized we have become the more chances of bullying are increasing at a high rate. The more we are making friends online the higher are the chances of getting deceived as none knows the real face behind the digital screen of Social Media.

This meeting was held for the Boys with the aim of educating them on this significant topic of the hour.

Our Honourable Principal, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear took the prime responsibility on his shoulders as he addressed the students and called out this less discussed but very important matter. He informed the students about the different threats which are subjected to approach us and how innocently we trust such things and end up getting entrapped.

To throw more light on this sensitive matter, our Honourable Principal invited the Guest Speakers, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, SHO Karpurigram Samastipur and Ms. Priyanka Kumari, Assistant SHO Karpurigram Samastipur, who understanding the tenderness of the topic spoke delicately raising awareness among the students.

The students paid utmost attention and verified their doubts by having an interactive conversation. The session was extremely productive and helpful as it countered the matters of today's importance.

Understanding the significance of Technology in today's world,we organized a friendly and interactive House Competition on the theme of Tech IT Up - A Technology Revolution 2050. The idea was to make an innovative magazine on the predictions of a technological 2050.

Students of the respective Houses came forward with their innovative ideas and filled the pages with their creative skills.

Our Honourable Principal, Mr Parveen Kumar Zear and Vice Principal, Mr. Chandan Kumar Choudhary motivated the participants as they went through the creativity of the students.

The competition was filled with innovation, prolonged research and skilled presentations which became the topic of appreciation.

The moment of result declaration left everyone awestruck as the flags of Aqua House and Ignis House waved high after bagging the 1st Position.

The moment of pride was followed by Terra House 2nd position & Ventus House who stood 3rd Positions respectively.

All the participants left the venue contented as they experienced their hard turmoil turning into gestures of applause. A competition is not to ignite the flames of negativity but to glow the assets of excellence already preserved in Mankind.

To culminate the goodness of conserving nature, We have organized a fruitful and significant Culminating event Parivartan Drive 2022 - 2023 - 'Ecowarriors - A Sustainable You & I'.

The motive of this event was to enrich our young minds with the responsible idea of protecting the environment. It is an initiative to generate awareness among the young learners about the significance of buying clothes meaningfully.

The procession began from the DRM office after the green flag was waved gracefully by Mr. Amit Kumar (Secretary of Asha Seva Sansthan, Samastipur) to Patel Maidan via S P residence.

It was on this day in the year 1928, CV Raman had discovered the RAMAN Effect bringing new dimensions in the genre of Science.
To educate ourselves with the remarkable contributions of Science, some of our brilliant students dressed up as inspiring scientists and reminded us of the landmarks attained by the magnificent people.
Our HOD of Science Department, Mr. Indrabhushan Jha delivered an awestricken speech instigating the interest and curiosity that should sparkle within oneself for Science.

Understanding the significance of learning and growing together, We organized a fruitful conduction of CBSE Workshop on IPS i.e Integrated Payment System. From 46 schools, Principals, IT Teachers and Exam ICs of Samastipur district joined the Workshop to engage themselves with the changing trends of the environment. The Workshop aimed at generating awareness about the dynamic payment system in the Post pandemic era which allowed various kinds of payments that are both feasible and reliable.

This innovative and informative session was conducted by our Honourable Principal Sir, Mr. Parveen Kumar Zear who was the Resource Person for this Workshop.

He took the mighty task on his responsible shoulders and delivered the message of growing by learning and experiencing.
