Celebrating Shakespeare - 2023
Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE organised a week-long celebration on the occasion of 'Shakespeare Day' to honour the world's pre-eminent dramatist, William Shakespeare, to whom English literature owes a lot.
The school celebrated the works of Shakespeare with grandeur. Students of classes 6th to 12th participated in various competitions. It was a celebration to pay homage to the 'Bard of Avon’ and to get a glimpse of his literary excellence.
The students took part in the following Competitions based on the theme of Shakespeare and his literary art:
Grade 6 - Recitation of any Shakespearean Sonnet
Grade 7 - Storytelling
Grade 8 - Declamation
Grade 9 - Extempore
Grade 10 - Debate
Grade 11 - Book Marks
Grade 12 - Skit
With great enthusiasm and zeal students cleared several rounds to reach to the finals. On the felicitation day, the students of grade 12th enacted the famous play 'The Merchant of Venice’ with impeccable improvisation, finesse and precision.
All those who witnessed the play they were completely mesmerized with the brilliant performances delivered by grade 12th.
Principal Sir encouraged the students by giving away the certificates and by his motivational speech for the wonderful delivery and performances.Vice Principal ma'am had all appreciations for them. Last but not the least, the program ended with a vote of thanks proposed by the English HOD, Snigdhamoni Bora.
Jumpstart Activity 'Grade 6 to 10' - 2023
Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE recently conducted the Jump-Start activity for class 6 to 10.
Students from class 6 to 10 proactively participated in the Jump-Start activity under the theme 'Tech-it-up'.
Following are the Jump-Start topics which were assigned to different classes:
6th & 7th - My favourite gadget and why?
8th & 9th- If I had a robot
10th - Future Inventions
The assigned tasks included expressing what kind of robot they would like to have, which is their favourite gadget, and describing what they think the future of innovation would look like. Here are a few tidbits about what happened.

G20 'IGNITE' - 2023
Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE presents a glimpse of creative and innovative work experienced at G20-IGNITE.
Recently some of our students from classes 4th, 11th and 12th (57 students from Science stream, 1 student from Class 11 and 1 Student from Class 4) got an opportunity to attend the Science fair #G20IGNITE organised by IIT Gandhinagar at their campus. The students were accompanied by their Physics and Chemistry faculty, Mr. Vishal Pillai and Jatin Bharadwaj.
The trip was a fabulous opportunity for the students to learn how to use commonly used items like plastic straws to create something creative and yet relate it to Science theories, the motto of creative learning workshop was to bring curiosity and fun in the classroom.
Students actively participated in different events based on technology and critical thinking activities.
Also, we are extremely elated to announce that a group of four students secured second position in the #BrainBytesQuiz while competing with different schools.
Students were taken to various research labs and were explained about various research facilities and work currently done by the students of IIT.
Our students interacted with the faculties and their students, and took guidance from them about their future endeavours.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Principal sir, Mr. P.C. Sreenarayanan for giving us a plethora of opportunities and immense support to make such educational field trips a success. Also, Vice Principal ma'am as well as the entire admin team was extremely supportive during the whole journey.
Jumpstart Activity 'The Gourmet Club - Grade 3 to 5' - 2023
First assembly 'Academic Session 2023-2024'
Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE showcases the first assembly for secondary and senior secondary classes for the academic session 2023-24.
Morning assembly is an inseparable part of school culture. It helps in building a culture of communication, discipline, representation of academic and co-curricular activities. It helps to strengthen the way a school works. It also helps students to gather a lot of energy to do well and be good in their day.
So, for the holistic growth of students, all activities are equally essential. Students should flourish in all areas in addition to their education.
In light of this, Podar International School, Ahmedabad began the new academic session 2023-24 by conducting exclusive outside assemblies by grade 10th and 12th.
The students of grade 10th and 12th took initiative in all the essential elements and aspects of the assembly, starting from command, thought, pledge, news, school song and finally the most awaited segment, the activity which was based on 'adverse effects of smartphones' for grade 10th and 'an interview of a commoner and a celebrity' for grade 12th.
At the end of the activity the Principal and Vice Principal addressed the students of classes 10th and 12th respectively.
Jumpstart Activity 'The Gourmet Club - Grade 6 to 8' - 2023
Podar International School, #AhmedabadCBSE has conducted the very first session of #SchoolClubs with the jumpstart activity of 'The Gourmet Club' in all the sections of classes 6th to 8th.
Students of classes 6th to 8th were introduced to all 5 clubs and were engaged in the activity of making a chart related to their feeling about the food they are going to prepare in the upcoming sessions. They were also made aware of the safety rules to follow in the kitchen and were duly acquainted with some important kitchen tools.
The young chefs are now yearning for the next session as they are going to prepare some scrumptious recipes. Looking forward to the next session positively, here are some glimpses of today’s school club session.

First day of school! Wake up! Come on, the first day of school!
Play, learn and grow together. It's that time of year again, new classes, fresh faces, a new year embraces.
Little scholars were warm-heartedly welcomed by their eagerly waiting teachers.
Little tiny tots of grade 1 enjoyed the new phase. Some were nervous and some were utterly excited.
Whereas students in grade 2 were overjoyed to meet their new teachers and old friends.
They had a thrilling day chatting with teachers, and friends, having lunch together and sharing their stories.
Their delighted faces made our day more enthusiastic, eventful and brighter.
