"Giving is not just about making a donation, it's about making a difference." – Kathy Calvin
Students of Podar International School #Ahilyanagar #Ahmednagar enthusiastically participated in The Jumpstart Event for this Thematic Unit, which beautifully embodies the spirit of empathy and kindness. By organizing a clothes collection drive, students are not only introduced to the theme in an engaging and thought-provoking manner but also learn the importance of sharing and helping others.
This activity is designed to ignite curiosity, encourage meaningful participation, and lay the groundwork for the upcoming lessons. Each child brings an item of clothing from home to donate to an orphanage, learning firsthand how small acts of kindness can bring joy to those in need.
Through this collective experience, students develop a sense of community and responsibility. As they fold and place their donations in the box, they actively contribute to a cause larger than themselves. This simple act of giving fosters gratitude and compassion, providing the perfect platform to explore deeper themes.
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” – Aesop
With every fold and drop, the students build not only a box of clothes but a foundation for lifelong values. Together, they create ripples of change, proving that even young hearts can make a big difference.
