Annual day celebrations are an essential part of school and organizational culture as these events showcase talent, encourage cultural expression, and bring together students, teachers, and parents. On 4 December 2024, the 10th Annual Day of the school ‘PODAR POTENZIA’ was organised for the students of Grades I & II. The theme of the Annual Day focused on the “Different Zones of India”. Students participated with great enthusiasm wearing traditional costumes that enhanced the celebrations.

The event showcased a variety of performances highlighting the students’ skills in music, dance, and drama. Overall, the cultural authenticity in the performances was commendable, which made the day memorable for students, teachers, and parents.

On 27 February 2025, Marathi Bhasha Diwas was celebrated with great pomp and splendor by the students of Podar International School CBSE Nerul. Students were dressed in traditional attire, and there was a sense of festive joy in the air. The students left no stone unturned in celebrating the richness of the state of Maharashtra.

The day marked incredible performances by students, where they sang powadas.

Students were dressed as Savitribai Phule, Sant Tukaram, Sant Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Sant Dnyaneshwar. The event marked the opening address by our Principal, Ms. Soma Chatterjee, where she spoke about the richness of the Marathi language and how it needs to be preserved. Students also led us into the soulful and musical singing of the prayer song.

On 11 January 2025, Podar International School - Nerul CBSE hosted the final round of Tech Zoo Science Fair, an exciting event that brought together students, teachers, and parents to celebrate science, technology, and engineering.

The Tech Zoo Science Fair was a fun-filled day of interactive exhibits and fascinating presentations. Students from Grade IV to XII showcased their innovative projects under the theme ‘Nanotechnology and its application in our life’.

A panel of judges, comprising of industry experts, educators, and students, evaluated the projects and decided on the winners.

The Tech Zoo Science Fair was a resounding success that provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and scientific skills.

On 11 January 2025, Podar International School was bursting with artistic talent and vibrant color. The school celebrated the immense creativity of its students from Grades I to IX through the Annual Art Exhibition ‘PODAR PALETTE’.

The art teachers played a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring students. Throughout the year, they helped students refine their skills and bring their ideas to life. The proudly showcased artwork consisted of gorgeous sketches, mesmerizing paintings, innovative 3D art projects, origami, bamboo mural painting, Mandala art, dot art, and cultural art forms like Warli and Madhubani. The school also invited students to hold interactive stalls, including henna design, face painting, and nail art, which drew exuberant participation.

The Art Exhibition was a resounding success that provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and innovation.

What a way to begin the New Year 2025 with Podar International School, CBSE, Nerul celebrating their 10th Annual Sports Day ‘PODAR POWER PLAY’! Events such as the sports day have always been the hallmark of the school. This year, with immense appreciation, the event was held on 06 January 2025, at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Belapur.

The day commenced with an opening ceremony, which introduced the activities planned for the day. The school Principal gave a speech that inspired the young athletes to strive to be exceptional in their field.

The school Head Boy and Head Girl of both, the Morning and Afternoon shifts led the contingents of the Aqua, Ventus, Terra, and Ignis Houses as they marched past in an all-impressive, orderly, and synchronized performance. Athletes participated fervently in track activities such as 100m and 200m races, and 400m relays. The program featured zesty and robust Aerobic and Zumba drills and vibrant Lezhim and Jhanj dances.

Overall, the Sports Day was a grand celebration of the fair spirit of sportsmanship, athleticism, talent, and teamwork leaving everyone keenly looking forward to next year’s event.

Podar International School CBSE Nerul celebrated Marathi Bhasha Diwas typically included various events aimed at promoting the Marathi language, literature, and cultural traditions. It also encouraged the younger generation to connect with their linguistic roots and take pride in the cultural heritage associated with the Marathi language. The celebrations included various dance forms such as Lavani, Koli dance etc.Traditional welcome songs added to the festive spirit, and the Mouli dance form was also performed, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra.The school organized a magic show by the renowned Magician, Mr.Jitendra Raghuvir.Magic show added an element of wonder and excitement to the celebration.
