Annual Day Celebration 2024-2025

PIS, Satara unleashed talents and created memories this year by celebrating Annual Day with wonderful themes 'Azadi ki Yaad me-Tales of Freedom Struggle' for Day-1 and 'Azadi ki Yaad me-Saluting India's Torchbearers' for Day-2.

A symphony of creativity, talent, and fun!

The Annual Day celebration was a resounding success, marking a joyous culmination of the academic year. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including the Chief Guest, Mrs. Yashni Nagarajan, IAS, CEO of Zilla Parishad, Satara.

The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting, followed by a vibrant cultural extravaganza. Students showcased their talents through mesmerizing dances, thought-provoking dramas, and melodious music performances.

Awards and certificates were conferred upon students for their outstanding achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. The Principal's annual report highlighted the school's progress and milestones.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem.

Constitution Day Celebration - 2024
Podar International School, Satara organised 'The Special Assembly' to celebrate 'Constitution Day'. 26th November is celebrated as Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas), to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honour and acknowledge the contribution of the drafting committee of the Constituent Assembly under the chairmanship of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Mass reading of preamble and an Interview of Dr B.R.Ambedkar were the highlights of the assembly.
Special Assembly ''Artists that Play with Patterns'' - 2024
Under the theme 'Pattern Prism' Podar International School, Satara conducted a Special Assembly – 'Artists that Play with Patterns – SH Raza, Piet Mondrian, Andy Warhol'. The students explored a lot about the patterns used by these artists. The paintings coming alive and talking to them was an amazing experience for our students.
Grade III to V Field Trip - 2024
“A Day of Learning and Fun at Apshinge Urja Farm” On 17th November 2024, students of Classes III, IV, and V visited Apshinge Urja Farm, where they explored nurseries, medicinal plants, and agricultural farms. They enjoyed exciting rides like bullock carts, Buggy Gypsy, and tractors, along with a rain dance, and relished delicious meals. The trip blended learning with adventure, leaving lasting memories for everyone.
Children's Day Celebration - 2024
“Children’s Day at PIS, Satara was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Teachers performed dance and special acts, conveying a meaningful message about reducing mobile phone usage and encouraging healthier habits. In addition, books were distributed to students, promoting the joy of reading and lifelong learning. The day was filled with fun, learning, and valuable takeaways for all.”
Jumpstart Activity under the Theme 'Pattern Prism' - 2024
JumpStart Activity 11 November, 2024 PIS, Satara welcomed the students back to school with cheering power and optimism. The day began with Exciting Jumpstart Event.The activities helped to immerse the students into the theme without directly telling them what it is all about. These activities surprised the students, captured their imagination and generated curiosity about the upcoming theme. The theme ‘Pattern Prism’ aims to develop the students' ability to observe unrecognised patterns in their surroundings.
Diwali Celebration - 2024
To celebrate upcoming festive season PIS, Satara organised 'Diwali Celebration' in the school. Special Assembly highlighted significance of the festival with a melodic Diwali Song by choir group.In addition the dance performance depicted our culture and traditions.Various grade wise activities engaged students in making diya, lantern,greeting cards,rangoli designs etc.Overall the celebration enriched the students with our core values of spreading happiness, sharing and caring.
Grade I Culminating Event 'Look Where We Live' - 2024
On 22nd October, 2024 students and teachers of grade I conducted Culminating Event : 'Look Where We Live' The purpose of the event was to foster respect for community helpers and their work. The event encouraged gratitude for community services and developed a sense of community responsibility.
Teacher's Training by PIC - 2024

"Teaching is the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit."

Teachers at PIS, Satara experienced an exceptional training session on 19 October 2024. The engaging session was conducted by Mrs. Archana Awade, DGM, and Mrs. Swati Kanase, the Principal of PIS-Daund. The training session involved teachers in various learning activities and encouraged them to create their exceptional dream classrooms. The tactics discussed were practical and easy to implement.

The discussion about the Zero Tolerance Policy of the Podar Group emphasized its importance. Overall, the session was fruitful, and all teachers are excited to implement the learning that took place during the session.

Parent Workshop 'Round 1 by the Counselors' - 2024

The counselors of PIS, Satara conducted a Parent Workshop for Term-1 of the academic year 2024-25. With the initiation of the Inclusive Education Cell (IEC), this workshop was held for all parents of grades 1 to 10 in three different slots.

The topic for this workshop was "Managing Parent Burnout: Nurturing the Nurturers." As we all know, parenting is a superpower, but superpowers come with their unique sets of challenges and joys. One challenge many parents face is parental burnout, which can affect anyone regardless of how competent or loving they are as parents. This session was very useful for parents, as counselors shared strategies and tips to avoid burnout, helping strengthen the bond between parents and their children.

The session was met with enthusiastic participation from parents.

Career Assessment in Satara - 2024
The counselors of PIS, Satara conducted the career assessment for the students of grade 9 and 10, who had registered for it. The assessment was regarding the aspects of career choices for the future of the students. This assessment was arranged and will be monitored by the Inclusive Education Cell (IEC). Total 80 students have attempted the test from PIS, Satara. They will be receiving their reports in the upcoming months.
Grade II Culminating Event under the Theme 'I am Alive' - 2024
Culminating Event under the Theme - 'I am Alive' was conducted for Grade II on 16 October, 2024. The students performed wonderfully on Uses of water , Sources of water , Save water, External and Internal organs of body ,energy giving food, body building food, energy giving food and unhealthy food. Children have made attractive props for their performance and spoke about the importance of the above sub topics.
Teacher Training Workshop on ‘Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies - 2024

Podar International School, Satara, organized a Teacher Training Workshop on ‘Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies’ on 14 October 2024.

The event featured insightful sessions conducted by Ms. Shruti Remane, Principal of Jaywant International School, Karad, and Mr. Anway Chikate, Principal of Podar International School, Karad.

The workshop centered around key areas such as the difference between learning objectives and learning outcomes, the paradigm shift from learning objectives to learning outcomes, framing SMART learning outcomes using Bloom’s Taxonomy, 21st Century Competencies, and effective teaching methodologies for active learning. Teachers also discussed common problems they face in their classrooms and collaborated to find solutions.

The teachers were briefed about various assessment tasks for achieving the learning outcomes and involving students in assessment.

The interactive approach and hands-on activities provided educators with valuable knowledge, enriching their teaching practices and enhancing the learning experience for students.

Stationery Donation Drive under Podar Volunteer Program - 2024

"It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving." - Mother Teresa.

Podar International School, Satara conducted a 'Stationery Donation Drive' under the 'Podar Volunteer Program 2024'.

Our students donated stationery items like pencils, crayons, erasers, scales, small notebooks (100/200 pages), ball pens, watercolors/palettes/brushes, drawing books, and full-scape notebooks for this social cause.

The collected stationery articles were donated to Remand Home, Satara.

Though the donation was voluntary, we observed a huge response from students and parents. The students learned to share and care through this wonderful program.

World Students' Day by offering floral tribute to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam - 2024

15 October is celebrated as World Students' Day. This day honors the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, who is renowned for his contributions to education and his inspirational role in empowering students.

Podar International School, Satara observed World Students' Day by offering a floral tribute to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

This special day acknowledges the students as future leaders and innovators. It sheds light on the role of education in helping create a better world for the future.

PIS, Satara also observed 15 October 2024 as 'Reading Day' through the activity - 'Drop Everything and Read.' This initiative encouraged the students to develop an interest in reading.

Grade IV to VIII 'Field Trip' - 2024

Educational tours provide practical exposure to various subjects, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for diverse fields of study.

Podar International School recently organized a one-day field trip for students of standards IV to VIII to Pratapgarh Fort and Shivkalin Museum. The trip aimed to provide a hands-on learning experience, fostering curiosity and historical understanding.

One hundred fifty-nine students participated, accompanied by nine teachers. The trip included guided tours and interactive sessions.

We believe in experiential learning. This trip helped students connect theoretical knowledge with practical experiences.

Culminating Event of Thematic Learning Module 'Fit and Fun' for Grade III - 2024

Podar International School Satara conducted a Culminating Event of Thematic Learning Module - 'Fit and Fun' for Grade III on 11 October, 2024.

The students learnt and explored more about different types of nutrients, the importance of a balanced diet and water, identifying plane and solid shapes through activities and worksheets, and the significance of yoga for health and well-being through exercise and outdoor activities.

The program concluded with an address by the Principal, who motivated the students to understand how such activities are important for them and how they can enjoy learning through these experiences.

Special Feature 'The Experimentarium' - 2024
Special Feature- 'The Experimentarium' was conducted across the grades I to VIII in Podar International School, Satara on 7 and 8 October, 2024. Various activities, demos of science experiments worksheets enhanced the scientific temperament of students.Students tried their hands on few experiments and engaged themselves in the learning process and quenched their curiosity.
Navratri Celebration - 2024
Navratri Celebration was observed in PIS, Satara with great enthusiasm. Navratri is a time of prayer and rejuvenation, when one can immerse their mind in divine consciousness. The celebration was held for two days-7 October and 8 October, 2024 wherein the parents of Podar Prep and Grade I to V along with local residents were invited. The celebration served as recreation as well as it established a positive bond among the stakeholders of the school.
World Mental Health Day - 2024
World Mental Health Day was observed in Podar International School, Satara. A special Assembly highlighted the significance of the day. The skit presented by the students enforced the statement -'It's ok to be not ok'. The assembly was concluded by Principal Sir's guidance to Grade X about Sound Mental Health.
Homage to Mr. Ratan Tata - 2024
Podar International School, Satara pays homage to Mr Ratan Tata on his sad demise. Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul, and an extraordinary human being. It's true that India has lost Ratan (a gem). Let's remember his contribution in the country's progress and continue his legacy of humanity.
Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti Celebration - 2024

Podar International School, Satara celebrated Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on 2 October 2024. A special assembly paid tribute to the leaders. These two prominent personalities are world-renowned names and inspiring leaders.

Students were made aware of their efforts and the roles they played in Indian Independence. The informative monologues presented by students were the cherry on the top. Principal sir addressed the assembly and motivated the students to follow the path shown by these two great leaders, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Connect Circle Activity 2 - 2024

The connect circle activity was conducted by the school counselors for all the teachers of Podar International School, Satara on 28th September 2024.

"Regulating Emotions" was the topic of this session, which served as a supportive environment where individuals could freely express their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. It provided a safe space for introspection, reflection, and the opportunity to vent feelings. This was an amazing experience of an emotional journey within ourselves, allowing us to fly away from our day-to-day hustle-bustle life in the 21st century. The activity was very well received by the teachers.

The second meeting of the Executive Committee of Parent Teacher Association 2024-25

The second meeting of the Executive Committee of the Parent Teacher Association 2024-25 was called on 19 September, 2024, in Podar International School, Satara.

Parent members were given a warm welcome with a bouquet by the school. The meeting proceeded with a briefing on the predefined agenda points. Furthermore, the discussion led to some important resolutions. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation to meet regularly and work cumulatively for the progress of the school.

Hindi Diwas Celebration - 2024

Celebration of 'Hindi Diwas' on 14 September, 2024 was a splendid experience for the students of Podar International School, Satara.

The activities and program aimed to raise awareness about the significance of Hindi in fostering national unity. Additionally, Hindi Diwas serves as a reminder of the contributions made by writers, poets, and scholars who have enriched the language through their literary works.

The special assembly included dance, hasya natika, nukkad natak, songs, speeches, and many more. The afternoon witnessed a wonderful program for the teachers.

The Mega Culminating Event - Plastic Game Changers was conducted at Podar International School, Satara. It was the culminating ceremony of the theme ‘PLASTIC PLASTIC EVERYWHERE – Breaking the Plastic Spell’.

As it's well said, “Be a part of the solution, not a part of the pollution”. This theme revolved around plastic and its impact on the environment. The event urged students, parents, and everyone to rethink before purchasing any plastic items, as they can have a detrimental effect on the environment.

Students created awareness through informational stalls and booths featuring games, self-created awareness videos, and displays of upcycled products. The event aimed to provide opportunities for students to showcase their learning and served as a platform for sharing their experiences.

Teacher's Day Celebration - 2024

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”

Teacher's Day at Podar International School, Satara was a day filled with respect and gratitude for the teachers. The day began with a marvelous assembly conducted by the teachers and replica teachers.

Later in the afternoon, the celebration included musical performances, a variety of games, and antakshari for the teachers. The Principal concluded the ceremony with his motivating words for all the teachers.

Fire Mock Drill - 2024

“Safety first, always.”

Podar International School, Satara observed the second Fire Mock Drill on 4 September 2024.

One of the primary objectives of fire drills is to ensure that everyone is safe. By conducting regular evacuation exercises, students and staff become more aware of potential fire hazards and learn how to respond by identifying emergency exits and routes of evacuation.

Inter House Competition under the theme 'Plastic Plastic Everywhere' - 2024

Podar International School, Satara conducted various Inter House Competitions under the theme 'Plastic Plastic Everywhere'.

Primary students participated in the competition named 'Plastic Bottles Upcycling Challenge' and created wonderful decorative articles.

Middle School children took part in the 'School Plastic Survey'. They surveyed different rooms of the school, listed plastic articles used, and suggested appropriate 'R' along with possible alternatives.

The main attraction was the 'Brick by Brick Competition', where students created eco brick installations.

Interhouse Science Quiz Competition - 2024
"Unleashing Curiosity: A Thrilling Science Quiz Competition Ignites Young Minds!" PIS, Satara organized Inter House Science Quiz for secondary students on 30 August, 2024.It not only engaged the students in gaining knowledge but also challenged their minds. The winner house received certificates.
Culminating Event - Grade III under the theme 'Eco-Detectives' - 2024

Podar International School, Satara organized a dynamic culminating event for our little champs of Grade 3 under the theme Eco Detectives, which was conducted successfully with favourable outcomes.

A butterfly garden activity was held where Honourable Principal Sir, Vice Principal Ma'am, teachers, and students participated in planting saplings of flowering plants. Students presented a song, "Everything is Connected," which they had learned in a music thematic session.

Students dressed up as eco detectives, wearing white coats, white shirts, goggles, binoculars, eco badges, gloves, etc. Thematic worksheets, models, and projects were displayed in the classrooms.

The Show and Tell activity made the culminating event more effective and fruitful as students, dressed up as parts of plants, provided information about different parts of the plants. Riddles framed by students incorporated other subjects like Maths, EVS, Music, PE, and Yoga.

Active and enthusiastic participation of students made this event a success.

National Sports Day Celebration - 2024

Let's honour the legacy of our sports heroes and embrace the spirit of sportsmanship today and always.

Podar International School, Satara celebrated the day by engaging students in various indoor and outdoor games.

National Sports Day is celebrated annually in India on August 29 to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.

The special assembly included a floral tribute to Major Dhyan Chand, along with sports demonstrations such as human pyramids by the girls' and boys' teams and a lathi act. All the house Sports Captains shared their views on the significance of the day.

Various Inter House Competitions were conducted by the Sports Department.

First Aid Health and Hygiene session for Transport Support Staff - 2024
"There's no harm in hoping for the best as long as you're prepared for the worst." "All things are ready, if our mind be so." PIS, Satara organized a 'First Aid Health and Hygiene' session for Transport Support Staff. They were informed about the significance of knowing how to deal in such situations. The practical session was conducted for how to do dressing and tie bandages, they were also trained for treating students in cases of epilepsy unconsciousness. The training session guided the transport support staff to deal with emergencies and be prepared for any situation.
The Connect Circle Activity - 2024
“Diversity is a fact, but inclusion is a choice we make every day." The Connect Circle Activity was conducted by the school counselors for all teachers of Podar International School, Satara on 24 August, 2024. The aim of the same was to build connections and be more inclusive.The participants enjoyed thoroughly along with great learning experiences that led to team building and positive atmosphere in the school.
Krishna Janmashtami - 2024

Podar International School Satara celebrated Krishna Janmashtami and remembered Lord Krishna's teachings and pledged to live a life of righteousness. Celebrations included a play depicting Krishna janm, his early days in Vrindavan and Scenes from Mahabharat. Poetry recitation and dance performances added further joyance among the audience. The celebration was concluded by Dahi Handi event that invoked hopes for joy, peace, and strength, with a focus on togetherness, friendship, and faith in Krishna's divine plans. Janmashtami is a time to celebrate, reflect, and spread joy among loved ones.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration - 2024

PIS, Satara celebrated 'Rakshabandhan', The bond of true love and trust. The celebration included skits depicting the stories of Draupadi and Lord Krishna as well as Humayun and Rani Karnawati. The students learnt about our culture, tradition and sources of the festival. The significance of the festival was reinforced by TOD through his talk.

PIS, Satara takes pleasure in informing that rakhis prepared by our students were sent to our soldiers. It is an overwhelming moment to see that those rakhis adorned the wrists of our soldiers.

Independence Day Celebration - 2024

Independence Day: A Tribute to Courage! Celebrating Freedom, Embracing Unity! Proud to be Independent, Proud to be Free! PIS, Satara immersed in tricolor and celebrated the event with utmost patriotism. The celebration saw the Flag hoisting followed by a series of cultural events including 'Inter House Patriotic Song Competition', Dance performances, Teachers' group songs, prize distribution of various competitions conducted on the occasion of Independence Day. The Chief Guest, Honorable Principal Sir ignited the spark of patriotism among students with his inspiring words. Overall it was a joyful celebration.

Dance and Singing Competition Winners arranged by Rotary Club of Satara 7 Hills - 2024

On the occasion of Independence Day, Rotary Club of Satara 7 Hills and Satara Municipal Council organized an inter-school and college patriotic song and dance competition, "Rhythm of Freedom." This competition was organized with the aim of giving a platform to the talents of the children and awakening a sense of patriotism in them. Various schools in Satara participated in these competitions.

Our school participated in the competitions, and the students of Podar International School, Satara, showcased exceptional talent and brought laurels to the school by winning awards in these prestigious competitions. The event was organized on 10th August, 2024, and saw participation from over 14 schools.

The competition was a vibrant celebration of art and culture, providing a platform for students to express their creativity and skills.

Our students performed vibrantly in the Dance Competition, securing the first position and making us proud with their outstanding patriotic performance.

Podar's music performance was top-notch too. Their patriotic melody captivated the audience and judges alike, earning them the second spot. These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, and talent of our students.

Grade II 'Culminating Event - In my town' 2024

Students have performed outstanding skits and fantabulous dance performances on the themes of Community Helpers and Places I Like to Visit.

Throughout this thematic unit, students gained knowledge about different community helpers, various natural and man-made places, and different types of shelters through various theme-based and creative activities. They also applied their understanding of different Math concepts by engaging in various activities related to the theme.

Kranti Diwas - 2024
August 9 is celebrated as the August Kranti Diwas. It was on this day that people joined the Quit India Movement led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942. Podar International School, Satara remembered the freedom fighters and the people participated in the Movement. The skit presented by the students depicted main events of The Quit Movement Day giving out a strong message of patriotism and sacrifice.
International Commerce Day - 2024

International Commerce Day was celebrated at Podar International School, Satara with great enthusiasm. Students of the Commerce stream showcased their learning and talent through presentations on Stock Market and Cryptocurrency. The spectacular program also featured a Commerce Career Show and the quiz show 'Corporate Roadies'.

This event provided students with valuable exposure to the world of business and entrepreneurship, allowing them to experience the dynamics of the commercial world firsthand.

Culminating Event ‘Marvellous Me’ Grade I - 2024

The Thematic Unit ‘Marvellous Me’ concluded with the culminating event ‘Marvellous Me’ organized by the students of Grade 1 and teachers of the school in the school auditorium. The event showcased all that the students have been learning during the course of the Thematic Unit.

All the students were involved in the culminating event. The whole program was led by the Grade 1 students.

Rakhi Making Activity for Soldiers - 2024

Podar International School, Satara, honours the true warriors of our land, our brave soldiers. Their selfless sacrifices and unwavering commitment inspire us all. May this Rakhi envelope them in the warmth of our appreciation.

Our school organized a Rakhi Making Activity on Saturday. The rakhis prepared by students will be sent to our soldiers as a token of gratitude. The students created beautiful rakhis and also wrote heart-touching messages to our soldiers.

Display boards in the school under the theme Plastic Plastic Everywhere - 2024

Display boards in the school that are used to showcase students' work help to give purpose and value to their schoolwork, giving pupils positive affirmation that their work is appreciated, and that every child's work matters.Podar International school, Satara takes pride in stating that all the soft boards along the passages are decorated with the new theme 'Plastic Plastic Everywhere'. The boards highlight types of plastics, impact of plastic pollution, history and life cycle of plastic, use of plastic in different industries, ways to deal with plastic, sustainable replacements for plastic and so on. The students are often seen diving into the vast knowledge displays while walking around the corridors.

The winners from different sections will be awarded on 15 August, 2024.

Plantation Drive was organised in our school by the Eco club under 'CBSE- Shiksha Saptah' on 27 July, 2024. It Generated awareness about critical environmental issues such as climate change, pollution and resource depletion. It also motivated the students to adopt eco-friendly behaviour and incorporate sustainable practices into their daily routine. It Fostered a sense of personal responsibility in students for environmental conservation.
Special Assembly-'Earth Day' under the theme 'Plastic Plastic Everywhere' - 2024
Special Assembly-'Earth Day' under the theme 'Plastic Plastic Everywhere' was organised on 27 July, 2024 in PIS, Satara. The global issue of plastic waste was addressed through a skit. Our students acknowledged the suffering of different animals caused due to plastic that we throw everywhere. They also pledged to reduce the usage of plastic.
Inter House G. K. Competition - 2024

Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people.

An Inter House G. K. Competition was organised in Podar International School, Satara on 27 July, 2024. The event engaged all the participants and audience by a vast ocean of knowledge from almost all sectors. It was an enthralling experience for everyone present their. The competition proved to be a great and knowledgeable experience for all viewers and participants.

The winners of the competition received certificates from The Principal. The students absorbed the encouraging words of Honorable Principal Sir that guided them about the importance of being aware about current and past happenings.

Kargil Vijay Diwas - 2024

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26 of July in India, to observe India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War for ousting Pakistani Forces from their occupied positions on the mountain tops of Northern Kargil District in Ladakh in 1999.

Podar International School Satara paid tribute to Kargil Warriors by remembering their sacrifice, valour and patriotism.

The patriotic journey of honouring the soldiers began with floral tribute to Amar Jawan Jyoti followed by patriotic songs, speeches, poetry recitation and many more events. The celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas enthralled all the viewers and ignited the flame of true patriotism.

Celebration of Shiksha Saptah Day 4 'Cultural Day' - 2024

Under the Celebration of Shiksha Saptah (July 22-28, 2024)

Day 4-Cultural Day was celebrated in PIS, Satara. Cultural Day is more than a celebration in education but an essential tool for the promotion of diversity, mutual respect, creativity, insight and community spirit. Schools which accept and respect cultural differences help students in being citizens who are well prepared for living in a multicultural world. The day Transformed the school environment into a vibrant and joyful place of learning through various traditions and cultural dresses, food habits, dance forms and art from various states of India.

The students brought various traditional dishes from different states of India. Teachers made them aware about our diverse culture including food, clothing, traditions and festivals.

Jumpstart Activity - 2024

Grade I to VIII tried their hands on various activities in a 'Jumpstart Event' on 15 July, 2024.

A Jumpstart Event has activities carried out before the module is started in the school. It helps to immerse the students into the theme without directly telling them what it is all about. These activities are designed to surprise the students, capture their imagination and generate curiosity about the upcoming theme.

The theme ‘Plastic Plastic Everywhere’ aims to enlighten students on the dynamics of plastic pollution and the life cycle of plastic, from plastic manufacturing to plastic recycling. Students will understand the scope of behaviour change amongst plastic users that can turn the tide of the plastic pollution problem. The theme will encourage students to practice plastic discipline and develop a sense of duty towards the planet.

All the students across the grade 1 to 8 explored the introductory part of the theme and are all set to dive into further ILP sessions.

Ashadhi Wari 'Dindi' - 2024

'Wari'is a yatra to Pandharpur, Maharashtra, to honor Lord Vithoba. It involves carrying the paduka of a saint in a palkhi. Many pilgrims join this procession on foot.

The replica of 'Wari' was organised in PIS, Satara on 16 July, 2024.The students of grade I to III participated in the event. The event began with a special morning assembly depicting the rich spiritual and cultural tradition of 'Wari' along with dance performance and a melodious song by the School Choir group. It was followed by the procession of Dindi in a nearby area with students chanting 'Ram Krishna Hari' and Vithhal..Vithhal.

The main highlight of the event was the theme -'Go Green and Plastic Free India'. The little Podarites contributed for the social cause, making people aware about the importance of plants and avoiding plastic.

Parent's Orientation Regarding Career Assessment - 2024
The counselors of PIS, Satara conducted the parents orientation session for the parents of grade 9 and 10 informing them the aspects of career choices for the future of the students. The parents were guided about the Career Assessment Test which will be conducted for the students of grade 9 and 10.The tests will be arranged and monitored by the Inclusive Education Cell (IEC). Parents appreciated this initiative of Podar School.
Activity 'Mirror Musings' - 2024
'Mirror Musings', A Special Feature was conducted for grade I to VIII on 11 July and 12 July. The feature explained the Growth Mindset and Fixed Mindset through various activities and worksheets that enabled the students to introspect and bring change in their mindset.
Slogan Making Competition - 2024

Podar International School aims to create awareness among its students about various global environmental issues. House wise Slogan Making Competition conducted on 11 July, 2024 was one of the steps taken for the same. The topics for the competition were 'Go Green' and 'Plastic Free India'.

The competition not only created awareness but also Enhanced Creative Skills and encouraged participants to think creatively and concisely. It challenged them to distill complex ideas into a few powerful words, improving their creative and communication skills.All the participants from different houses came up with meaningful and creative pieces of art.

First PTM of the Academic Year 2024-25

Both Teachers and Parents are integral part of a student's Journey towards excellence.

First PTM of the academic year 2024-25 was conducted on 13 July, 2024 in Podar International School, Satara. The main objective of PTM is to assist parents in understanding a child's progress at school and find solutions to academic or behavioral problems, if any.

The overwhelming response from the parents was observed during this PTM.They were happy to receive constructive feedback of their ward from the teachers.

PIS, Satara had also organized a book fair on this occasion.A visit to Scholastic Book Fair will surely lead to development in students' reading habits.

Overall the PTM served the purpose of the Healthy Parents-teachers association for students' growth.

Investiture Ceremony 2024-2025

Podar International School , Satara aims to create leaders of tomorrow and Investiture Ceremony paves the way to it. Investiture Ceremony is not just about providing titles, but about conferring responsibilities to the students, to take charge of the school and take it to the height they desire with their leadership and decision making skills, communication and teamwork.

The ceremony witnessed the School Student Council Board and House Portfolios getting honoured after scrutinous interviewing and selection which has given them a feel of functioning of an official administrative body. The selected students were honoured with their respective badges and sashes.The members took an oath to faithfully work for the school.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony,our highly regarded Principal, encouraged them to put in honest efforts for every endeavor and become an inspiration for others.

Transport Committee Meeting - 2024

The first meeting of the Transport committee was held on July 5,2024.

The meeting saw felicitation of the new members as well as RTO Officials. The key points discussed were safety and security of the students, maintaining all 17 buses as per RTO rules and regulations, frequent training of transport staff, etc. The committee witnessed the guidance given by Mr. Sangram Devame, AIMV, RTO, Satara and Ms, Sheetal Ghadge, AIMV, RTO, Satara along with Mr. Yogesh Jadhav, Police Inspector- Traffic. The committee consisted of The Principal,Vice Principal,Prep HM, Both Admin Managers,Bus Contractor,Transport Incharges, parent members and Teacher members.

Fire Mock Drill - 2024
"Prevention is better than cure." Podar International School, Satara observed Fire Mock Drill on 25 June, 2024. One of the primary objectives of fire drills is to ensure that everyone is safe. By conducting regular evacuation exercises, students and staff will be more aware of potential fire hazards and learn how to respond by identifying emergency exits and routes of evacuation.

Meditation for Teachers 2024-25
Meditation for Teachers was conducted on 22 June, 2024. Patience and calmness are the tools for teachers these days. PIS, Satara teachers experienced the power of meditation .Some of the many benefits that meditation provides are: it helps to gain a new perspective on stressful situations, it helps to build skills to manage stress, it increases self-awareness and as a result patience and tolerance also increase. The session enhanced teachers' positivity and served as a break from stress.
Teacher's Orientation Program 'Inclusive Education Cell (IEC)' 2024-25
Teacher's Orientation Program for 2024-25 year was conducted by School Counsellors. This is an initiative by Inclusive Education Cell (IEC) to orient teachers regarding the hierarchy of IEC and stake-holders network. How Teachers, parents and counsellors, all these important stakeholders can work in the collaboration for the improvement of the diverse learners, children who are dealing with the emotional concerns, academic difficulties or behavioural issues were also discussed with the strategies and live example demonstration.
Olympiad Exam Results - 2024
Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude. The Gold Medal Winners of Olympiad Exams were honoured by The Principal in assembly with certificates and medals. It boosted up achievers' confidence as well as encouraged them to continue their legacy of excellence.
World Music Day Celebration - 2024
Music reveals truths beyond what wisdom and philosophy can ever express. On the occasion of World Music Day,the budding musicians of PIS Satara took the arena of audience to the heavenly tour of melodies.The musical celebration of the day was marvelous to such an extent that The Principal too performed few instrumental tunes. The purpose of World Music Day is to provide a platform for both professional and amateur artists to express themselves through their art of musical talents. The celebration truly served the purpose.
International Yoga Day Celebration - 2024
"Yoga adds years to your life and life to your years." 21 June, 2024, International Yoga Day was celebrated in Podar International School, Satara symbolising the significance of light and the transition to Dakshinayana, an auspicious period in Indian tradition. Yoga sessions were conducted for the students and teachers as well, motivating all to make yoga a part of their daily life.

Theme - Ink and Imagination

'Comic verse Extravaganza', the Culminating Event of IE theme 'Ink and Imagination' was organised in PIS, Satara.The event aimed to showcase what students have learnt through out their IE sessions and to see if they can apply their new knowledge and a newly learnt skill in daily life.

All students across grades I to VIII participated in various activities like comic character fashion show, comic walk, book exchange program, comic expo etc. Exceptional enthusiasm, team work and learning was observed during the event.

Grade III - Parents Orientation Programme 2024-25
“Your children need your presence more than your presents.” Involving parents in school functioning is the need of time. Parents Orientation Programme was organised for grade lll parents on 15 June, 2024.The concerned interacted with parents about general rules of school, journey of PIS, Satara, school time table, school bus facilities, Curriculum, innovation lab, Loop learning etc. Parents were guided about Academics and subject wise internal assessment.
Inter-house Quiz Competition - 2024

Podar School hosted the Comix Trivia Tournament - The Quest for The Ultimate Talent, an inter-house quiz competition, under the theme "Ink and Imagination". The event saw four houses - Aqua, Ignis, Ventus, and Terra - battling it out for the top spot. After a fiercely contested competition, Aqua House emerged as the winner, followed closely by Ignis House in second place. " All Houses have shown exceptional teamwork and knowledge, and we are proud of their achievement," said Principal Mr.Sunil Singh Rawat. We congratulate all participants for their efforts and enthusiasm. The competition was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and teamwork among students. Podar School continues to excel in providing a holistic education and encouraging students to reach their full potential.

First EPTA Meeting 2024-25
The first meeting of Executive Committee of Parent Teacher Association 2024-25 was called on 14 June, 2024 in Podar International School, Satara.Newly appointed parent members were given a warm welcome with a bouquet and a momento by the school.The introductory and welcome meeting proceeded with briefing of roles and responsibilities of EPTA members.Moreover the members also discussed some key points like promising board result, upcoming events, school infrastructure development and a few important directions for the parents. The meeting concluded with reaffirmation to meet regularly and work cumulatively for progress of the school.
The Transport Department Meeting - 2024
The Transport Department meeting was conducted by the Transport Incharge on 8th June, 2024 in Podar International School, Satara. The discussion highlighted- Safety measures for students, correct and apt usage of 'First Aid Kit', driving precautions, Good touch vs bad touch etc. The step of revisiting the rules and regulation strengthened the overall functioning of the Transport Department.
Shivrajyabhishek Day Celebration - 2024

Shivrajyabhishek - this important day is observed to commemorate the great Maratha King - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. On 6 June, 1674, he became the king of the Maratha Empire. This day is celebrated to mark an anniversary day, when Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was crowned in Raigad and started ruling on Maratha Empire.Podar International School, Satara witnessed the grand ceremony of 'Rajyabhishek' organised in the Special Assembly. The show not only paid tribute to the great king but also enlightened the students to inculcate the virtues and skills from the life of Shivaji Maharaj.

Maharashtra Day Celebration - 2024
Maharashtra Day is observed on May 1 annually; this day marks the foundation of our states. It also coincides with International Labour Day. Podar International School,Satara celebrated it with great enthusiasm and ardour. It all began with flag hoisting and singing Maharashtra Rajya Geet. The cultural program presented by the teachers took the program to the next level. committedness and love of the teachers and admin for the motherland was highly appreciable. The section wise programs consisted of almost all genres of entertainment. Overall it was a treat to the eyes and souls.

Podar International School recently celebrated *International English Week* on the occasion of International English Day with a vibrant and engaging program spanning an entire week. The culmination on 26 April, 2024 was a spectacular drama presentation by our talented students, showcasing their linguistic skills and creativity. The female staff@ Podar International School,Satara was overwhelmed with the heartfelt celebration of 'International Women's Day' arranged by the male colleagues under the guidance of Principal Mr.Sunil Singh Rawat. The celebration opened up with the vibrant Special Assembly and as the cultural event unfolded, there was a treat of melodies, skits and games by all the male colleagues.

Mock Fire Drill - 2024

Mock drills are arranged by the organizations in order to provide guidance to the participants of relevant knowledge on fire safety equipment and ways to handle them in an emergency crisis.

Mock drill consist of how to rescue themselves and others around them, ways to control emergency situations, do’s, don’ts, providing first aid to victims, reaching hospital etc. After the completion of the mock drill one gets a clear cut idea and solution on ways to react during the emergency situation.

Fire Mock Drill was conducted @ PIS, Satara to sensitize the students and staff about safety norms. The building was evacuated within 3.44 minutes successfully. The students were guided about the handling of various types of Fire Extinguishers by our senior teacher Mr. Pranav Galgale.

Marathi Essay Writing and Poem Composition Competition - 2024

With over 83 million speakers worldwide, Marathi is one of India's 22 official languages. It is renowned for its unique blend of Sanskrit, Prakrit, and other languages, and it has a long and rich history that dates back to the tenth century AD. The language has a rich and varied literary history that includes drama, poetry, prose, and other genres.

'Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Diwas' celebration @ PIS, Satara served as an opportunity for the students as well as teachers to acknowledge the beauty, complexity, and rich history of the Marathi language. They were encouraged to pen down their thoughts and express their ideas with the 'Marathi Essay Writing Competition' and 'Marathi Poetry Composition Competition'.

'3D Showcase Competition: 2023-24: Phase II was conducted @ PIS, Satara for Grades V to VIII.

Grade V students displayed their best abilities in designing 'The Original 3D Puzzle'.
Grade VI students unleashed their creativity and curiosity with their project 'Taj Mahal Interlocking Blocks'.
Grade VII students enhanced their artistic abilities while presenting their project 'Humane Flying Insect Trap'.
The students of Grade VIII were encouraged to foster the spirit of innovation by assigning two challenges 'Load-Carrying Device' and 'Hand Power Archimedes Screw'.'

All the students were empowered by the Computer Teachers to think creatively while showcasing their projects. Principal Mr. Sunil Singh Rawat, Vice Principal Mrs. Prajakti Gaikwad and ICT Hub Incharge Mr. Amit Ingale played a crucial role as the Jury of the competition.

Grade I Culminating Event - 'Jungle Beats' under Thematic Unit 'Nature Trails' - 2024

'Thematic Learning' is an innovative method introduced by Podar Education Network. This method of teaching involves choosing a specific topic or concept to teach. The theme chosen is then demonstrated using a variety of information and resources. Thematic teaching is based on the idea that kids learn best through holistic, real-life experiences. That is what makes this form of teaching and learning most unique! Instead of focusing on rote learning and memorization, kids are able to make better connections with concepts explored because of daily life examples and experiences.

One of the main benefits is that it can help children develop a deeper understanding of a particular topic. By exploring a theme in depth, children are able to connect the different pieces of information they learn, which can help them remember and apply what they have learned.

National Science Day Celebration - 2024

National Science Day is celebrated annually on February 28th to commemorate a pivotal moment in scientific history. It marks the anniversary of Sir C.V. Raman’s ground breaking discovery. It was on this day that history was written and paved the way for the scientific community to make a leap towards new heights.

We commemorate this day, to reaffirm our commitment towards promoting scientific temper and fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and discovery in our country.

National Science Day allows us to reflect on the achievements and the countless possibilities that lie ahead. National Science Day was celebrated @ PIS, Satara with a Special Assembly and inauguration of 'Science Wall Magazine: Indigenous Viksit Bharat' by Principal Mr. Sunil Singh Rawat. The curious minds of the students were triggered by 'Science Quiz'. The students utilised this platform to express and develop their scientific temperament.

Thematic instruction integrates lessons throughout the curriculum with a recurring topic. The thematic approach can pervade all learning subjects, such as Maths, Science, and Art. The day aims at promoting the use of the Marathi language for the preservation of Maharashtra's rich cultural heritage. Through various cultural events and celebrations, this day encourages individuals to embrace and celebrate the beauty and diversity of Marathi literature. 'Marathi Gaurav Din' was celebrated @ PIS, Satara with great enthusiasm. The celebration included the students performances and the inauguration of 'Marathi Wall Magazine' by Principal Sir Mr. Sunil Singh Rawat.

Parivartan Drive: Podar International School, Satara Leads the Way to social change Education is a tool for Social Change. It helps to nurture critical thinking, decision-making, and civic participation, crucial for a democratic society. With this aim Podar International School had organised Parivartan Drive : Be the change to bring the change on 24 th February 2024. The drive saw students and teachers come together to inculcate virtues like kindness, self love, seeking support and acceptance. The torch was ignited to spread the positivity to accept change. Students dressed up as soldiers,freedom fighters,significant women and change makers. Drive included multiple placards, posters and slogans. The name Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the battle cry ‘Har Har Mahadev’ is enough to give you chills and fill your heart with pride and admiration.Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is the legendary figure from the vibrant tapestry of India’s monumental history, who carved out an independent Kingdom 'Swarajya'.

Usually, kings leave behind empires and wealth to be run and enjoyed by their ancestors.Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, however, has left behind a legacy that is engraved in everyone’s hearts forever.

'Shiv Jayanti' was celebrated @PIS, Satara with great fervour and enthusiasm. The students paid tribute to the heroic legend through various cultural performances. They reflected on Shivaji Maharaj’s life, his visionary leadership, and his inspiring words.

The students were inspired by the exemplary work of this stalwart leader who has been empowering the generations to dream big and fight for what is right.

Respected Principal Mr. Sunil Singh Rawat, in his address appealed to the students to replicate the ideals of this fearless warrior in their lives.

Grade X 'Ashirvachan - The Blessing Ceremony' - 2024
“If you want to reach heights and soar high, you need to have the courage and willpower to leave the ground below!” ' Ashirvachan- The Blessing Ceremony ' was conducted@ PIS, Satara for Grade X students. Blessings have divine power, the ceremony was aimed at giving the compliments and wishes to the students before their board examination. Respected Principal Mr. Sunil Singh Rawat addressed the students and blessed all of them for a great success in their forthcoming board exam.
Podar Volunteer Program 'Letter to Soldiers' - 2024

To express our gratitude towards the dauntless soldiers an activity 'Letter to Soldiers' was conducted @PIS, Satara under the 'Podar Volunteer Program'.

The dedication, courage and selfless service of our soldiers is a source of inspiration for the students. The students were touched by the sacrifices of our national heroes.

The students from Grade III to VIII poured their hearts out into the inland letters that will be sent to all the Three Armed Forces.

Science Olympiad Exam Results 2023-24

Olympiad exams are competitive exams that help to uncover the children’s hidden talents and skills. The agenda of these competitive exams is to evaluate each students’ performance and promote concept-based learning with logical thinking.

Art in focus – Art Exhibition Art education nurtures creativity and imagination in the students. Art helps the students to think out of the box, explore new ideas and express themselves in unique ways. These skills are not only crucial for artistic endeavors but also in other walks of life. Podar network believes in holistic development of the students. The event 'Art in Focus ' provided a platform to the students to exhibit 7 elements of art through a beautiful display of drawings, paintings and working models. Even parents overwhelmingly participated in the various activities. It was an enthralling and enriching experience for everyone.
School Transport Meeting - 2024
School Transport makes the journey safe and comfortable for every student which is the most concerning thing for the parents. It also makes education balance for every student who stays away from the city. School Transport Department Meeting was conducted @PIS, Satara. The highlights of the meeting were Safety Precautions and Timely Maintenance. The Committee members were also briefed about the installation of CCTV cameras and Traffic Drills which are already in practice.

At Podar, education is not confined just to textbooks and classrooms. We believe in nurturing values. 'Podar Volunteer Program' was conducted @PIS, Satara under which the students donated 'Care Packages' and 'Stationery Packages'.

The ' Stationery Packages' were donated to the students@ 'Satara Remind Home' as a part of the 'Donation Drive' whereas under the activity 'Visit to Old Age Home', the 'Care Packages' were donated to 'Anandashram'. Under the abled guidance of Respected Principal Sir, our Sr. Admin Manager along with a teacher representative and Junior Students Council members visited both the sites and communicated with the people. It was a moving experience for them.

World Cancer Day - 2024
February 4th is marked as 'World Cancer Day.' It is believed to be as an opportunity for everyone to work together to lessen the impact of cancer on the world. The goal is to save lives by raising awareness, promoting education, encouraging others to act morally and support the battle against cancer that can be prevented and cured. More emphasis is given on optimism. By banding together and taking action, we can lessen the toll that this disease takes on our health, our economy, and our spirits as a society. A Special Assembly was conducted @PIS, Satara to spread awareness about cancer.
Inter Hub Self 'Composed Poem Recitation Competition' - 2024
"Poetry lifts the veil from the hidden beauty of the world, and makes familiar objects be as if they were not familiar." Composing poems and playing with the words is a creative art. Reciting a poem with impactful intonations is yet another challenging task as the words are empowered by pitch, tone and rhythm. 'Inter Hub Self - Composed Poem Recitation Competition' was organised by PIS, Ratnagiri wherein the students of PIS, Satara Mst. Atharv Rahurkar and Ms. Gargee Kulkarni came up with flying colours. Both of them secured the II position in group II and III respectively.
Martyr's Day - 2024

30th January, the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, 'The Father of Nation' is observed as 'Martyr's Day'. This day is also regarded as 'Shaheed Diwas' or 'Sarvodya Diwas' across the country to honour those who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence. The day holds significance as it marks the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. 'Martyr's Day' was observed @PIS, Satara with the floral tribute and pious 'Ramdhun' which was the most favourite prayer song of Mahatma Gandhi.

Pariksha Pe Charcha - 2024
"Keep your eyes on stars and your feet on the ground." Most of the time, a lot of hard work goes into giving the exam your best shot, and sometimes the students become hyper-focused on the result. It’s really important to remember that the exam is just a stepping stone. Education is not just the preparation for life, but the part of life itself. An interactive session 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' by Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi was attended online by our ' Exam warriors' and teachers@ PIS, Satara. The session was indeed very informative and helpful.
Express Yourself Activity 'Theme - Significant People' - 2024
“Time has the power to mend appearance, wealth, and fame; but it always bends its knee in front of an amazing personality.” The young minds are ignited by the inspirational stories of real life heroes. 'Express Yourself Activity' was conducted for the students of Grade I to VIII @ PIS, Satara under the theme ‘Significant People’. Students were overwhelmed to know about the extraordinary work of various people who have contributed for the society. They expressed their learning of the theme through various activities like Role play, Think and Share, creative writing and podcast interview script.
Republic Day Celebration - 2024
As the sun rises on the 26th of January each year, a palpable sense of pride and patriotism sweeps across the length and breadth of India. This day, the Republic Day, marks a pivotal moment in the nation’s history when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950, transforming the country into a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic. This day of immense significance was celebrated with a sense of pride and patriotism @ PIS, Satara. The performances full of patriotic zeal were truly a tribute to the vibrancy of the world’s largest democracy.
Annual Sports Day Celebration 2023-2024

Sports Day marks as the symbol of dedication, determination, inspiration, great Chase for the dreams and belief in the potential. Sports have a remarkable ability to captivate everyone's attention, ignite passion, bring people together with the thrill of healthy competition and display extraordinary athleticism. World of sports and games have a unique ability of transcending barriers, camaraderie and a sense of unity.

Annual Sports Day of Podar International School, Satara was held on 16th January 2024 at Shahu Stadium, Satara with great zeal, excitement and frolic some atmosphere. The vibrant day was flagged up by an illustrious Chief Guest for the day Mr. Nitin Taralkar, District Sports Officer Satara and Guests of Honour Ms. Sudheshna Shivankar and Mrs.Vaishali Shinde.

The March past of the students coupled up with stirring marching music by the band group of school was an eye catching event that demonstrated coordination and determination. The torch batton relay was displayed by a large number of State level and National level sports achievers who shared the flame of glory and success. The event consisted of 100m, 200m, 400m and 1500m race, long jump and relay for senior students and sack race, pass the ring, book and cone balance for the junior students. The fun and frolic of the day reached its accomplishment with the declaration of General Championship Trophy Winner.

IEC Workshop Round 2 - 'The Art of Inclusion' - 2024
“Inclusion is not a strategy to help people fit into the systems and structures which exist in our societies; it is about transforming those systems and structures to make it better for everyone.” IEC Workshop Round 2 'The Art of Inclusion' was organised @PIS, Satara for the Wellness teachers of Satara Hub, Pimpri Hub1 and Pimpri Hub 2 and the teachers of PIS, Satara. The Resource Persons were Hon'ble Ms. Shital Seth General Manager, IEC Podar Education Network and Hon'ble Mr. Anil Raj, Senior Manager IEC Podar Education Network.
Grade IX Field Trip - 2024
The industrial visits are key to student development. Such visits provide the students with an exposure to the real world and the practical working environment of the outside world. The students of Grade IX were taken on a Field Trip to ' Akashganga Industries'. The students were briefed about the functioning of the stone crusher with a short demo. The students were excited to know about the functioning of the industry.
Grade VIII Field Trip - 2024
“Not all classrooms have four walls.” Field Trip is an effective tool to learn with the open book of nature. Grade VIII students @PIS, Satara enjoyed a Field Trip to Sajjangad, the historical fort. They explored the place and gathered a lot of information about it. It was a wonderful experience for them.
Grade VI Field Trip - 2024
“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” Field Trips help students explore new places. The field trip was organised for grade VI students by PIS, Satara. The students visited the historical location 'Kshetra Mahuli' where they studied about the ancient temples. They also visited Satara Railway station and were briefed about its functioning by an official. It was an enriching experience for them.
Inter House 'Soft Board Decoration Competition - Myth Busters' - 2024

"We need myths that will help us to identify with all our fellow-beings, not simply with those who belong to our ethnic, national or ideological tribe. We need myths that help us to realize the importance of compassion, which is not always regarded as sufficiently productive or efficient in our pragmatic, rational world. We need myths that help us to create a spiritual attitude, to see beyond our immediate requirements, and enable us to experience a transcendent value that challenges our solipsistic selfishness. We need myths that help us to venerate the earth as sacred once again, instead of merely using it as a 'resource.' This is crucial, because unless there is some kind of spiritual revolution that is able to keep abreast of our technological genius, we will not save our planet."

Inter-House 'Soft Board Decoration Competition' was conducted at PIS, Satara under the theme 'Myth Busters.' The students enriched their knowledge about the myths of different countries and presented it wonderfully on their House Soft Boards.

A Session 'Connect Circle' was conducted for the teachers - 2023

Emotional awareness helps us know what we need and want or don't want! It helps us build better relationships. That's because being aware of our emotions can help us talk about feelings more clearly, avoid or resolve conflicts better, and move past difficult feelings in an easy manners.

A session 'Connect Circle' was conducted at PIS, Satara for the teachers wherein the teachers were briefed about the importance of knowing the current state of mind and the strategies to overcome the stress. It was an interactive session, full of various activities as well as meditation.

Children's Day Celebration - 2023

Children’s Day, a day so bright,
Filled with laughter, joy and delight.
Little ones running to and fro,
Playing games, putting on a show.

Their hearts filled with innocence and glee,
Their laughter echoing endlessly,
Their smiles shining like the sun,
Their energy is never done!

Children's Day was celebrated at PIS, Satara wherein the teachers presented a skit for the students. On this special day, the school took an initiative by motivating students to read more and more books. The Children's Day gift for the students was a fascinating book! Surely, reading the books will help the students open doors of new knowledge to enlighten their minds.


Mental Health Awareness Program - 2023
Everyone carries stress and it can be especially difficult to manage when one begins to feel overwhelmed. A break to reset may be needed. World Mental Health Day is a day meant to help reduce stress and burnout. It can provide a pause to come back with more energy, less stress and a renewed spirit. Keeping this fact in mind, an awareness program about 'Mental Health' was conducted for the parents at PIS, Satara on the day of 'Open House'. This effort was well appreciated by the parents as it provided them a new insight about managing the stress.

Open House - 2023
‘Open house’ provides an opportunity to the parents to talk and discuss with the teachers, get to know what is being taught in the class, the teaching methodology being used, the performance of their child and changes being made to the existing curriculum. This is extremely important for parents to assess the efforts being made by the school for educating and training their children for becoming successful individuals in the future. An Open House for the result declaration of Mid Term Exam was conducted at PIS, Satara.

Mock Fire Drill - 2023

One of the primary objectives of mock drills is to ensure that everyone is safe. By conducting regular evacuation exercises, individuals will be more aware of potential natural to fire hazards and learn how to respond by identifying emergency exits and routes of evacuation.

Mock Drill and Fire Safety Drill was conducted at PIS, Satara for the students. The officials of Satara Municipal Corporation guided students about the handling and functioning of fire engines as well as different types of fires. Students were excited to learn the safety techniques through demonstration and hands-on experience.

Ganesh festival - 2023

Amongst the multitude of Gods present in the pantheon of Hindu mythology Lord Ganesha is perhaps the most popular one. The name Ganesha is derived from 'Gana' meaning people and 'Isha' meaning God. It is believed that worshiping Lord Ganesha is the best way to destroy vanity, pride, and selfishness. His blessings can remove the effects of negative forces from devotees' lives.He is our mentor and protector. He enriches our life by removing obstacles and blesses us with new beginnings.

'Ganesh Festival' was celebrated @ PIS, Satara with great devotion and reverence. The celebration began with the 'Eco- Friendly Ganesha Idol Making Workshop' and the idol made in the worship was worshipped fervently in school. Ganesha's arrival and immersion procession with the rhythmic traditional drum beats was truly captivating. The Assembly Features too included special presentations, shlokas, skits and songs dedicated to the Lord. Serenity and positive vibes were experienced by everyone as the Lord bestows His blessings upon all.

Hindi diwas celebration - 2023
Hindi Diwas Celebration: A Day to Embrace, Cherish and Promote Hindi. Hindi Diwas is celebrated as a patriotic reminder to Indian population of their common roots and unity. Hindi acts as a unifying force and plays a crucial role in keeping the people connected. Hindi is not just a means of communication, it is a source of cultural pride and heritage. Hundreds of old literature from great authors are available in Hindi, which are the great source of Knowledge and Wisdom, a few of them is already translated to other languages for non hindi speaking states, that why it is said that Hindi connects us to our roots and allows us to express our thoughts, emotions, and aspirations in a language that resonates with millions. By learning this language one can broaden his or her horizons, improves cognitive skills, and fosters cross-cultural understanding. 'Hindi Diwas' was celebrated @PIS, Satara with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was a treat to witness Special Assembly, Skits, Dance Performances, Songs and Special Presentations during the celebration.

Janmashtami Celebration 'Grade 1 and 2' - 2023

Cultural Education is an essential aspect of the curriculum. Understanding this importance and glorifying Indian traditions with the young generation, Janmashtami was celebrated @ PIS, Satara with great mirth, fervour and devotion that one can associate with this divine festival.

Our tiny tots came dressed to school as 'Radha' or 'Krishna' which added to the festive environment. The paintings depicting the life story of Lord Krishna were displayed in the campus and the students were overjoyed to enjoy traditional dances on the tune of 'Govinda' songs.

The students touched the right chord in spreading solemn love and righteousness in such morbid times.

Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna. The birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm @ PIS, Satara in the Special Assembly. The students were overjoyed when they broke the ‘Dahi Handi’ to grace this occasion. The students were excited to know about the Mythological stories and the account of conversation between the Lord Krishna and Duryodhana before the excruciating war ; from Principal Sir. The event is based on the legend of the Krishna stealing butter and other milk products as a baby who is also called Makhan chor. The little Krishna scrambling upon his friends who formed a human pyramid to reach the Dahi, butter & curd Pot. This holy occasion brings people together, thus signifying unity and faith.

Culminating Event 'Bizkids Bazaar' was held @PIS Satara under Integrated English presenting the theme ' Young Entrepreneurs' - 2023
Entrepreneurship education focuses on developing real-world skills that will help students to lead exceptional lives in a rapidly changing world. Students learn to understand the product development cycle, come up with their own unique business proposals, and deliver multiple pitch presentations. Culminating Event 'Bizkids Bazaar' was held @PIS Satara under Integrated English presenting the theme ' Young Entrepreneurs'. The event was a treat for the visitors as it had Art Gallery, Food Stalls, Recreational Stalls, Game Zone as well as Tattoo Stalls.

Ganesha Idol making workshop - 2023
Podar International School, Satara organized a Lord Ganesha Idol making workshop for the students on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. This workshop gave students an opportunity to showcase their skills and express their love for the Lord Ganesha through creating Idols. This helped students to boost confidence and to exhibit their creativity. This workshop proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.
Rakhi making activity 'Grade I to VIII' - 2023
Beyond the family bonds, Raksha Bandhan also carries a broader social significance. It encourages harmony and unity, transcending the boundaries of the family. Often, ‘Rakhis’ are tied to neighbors and close friends, fostering a sense of community and mutual respect. Raksha Bandhan, therefore, is not just a celebration of the sibling bond but a reflection of the societal values of love, protection, and mutual respect. It is a festival that echoes the Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ meaning ‘the world is one family.’ On account of Rakshabandhan, 'Rakhi Making Activity' was organized at PIS, Satara classes I to VIII. The students displayed their creativity through beautiful rakhies.
A Special Assembly August 21st - World Entrepreneurs' Day Skit - 2023
We praise all entrepreneurs on August 21st-World Entrepreneurs' Day. Behind every successful business is someone who faced countless obstacles and stayed on track with determination to turn visions into reality. This day reminds us of what any one of us can achieve. A Special Assembly was conducted at PIS, Satara wherein the students threw light on the tremendous work done by the legendary entrepreneurs Ms. Falguni Nayar, Mr.Anshu Gupta and Mr.William Nanda Bissell, through a skit.

The 'Art Beat State Level Drawing Competition' - 2023
Lokmat Campus Club in Maharashtra, India set a record in 'Asia Book of Records' for the maximum students participating in a drawing competition at multiple venues in a single day to commemorate, late freedom fighter & founder of Lokmat, Shri Jawaharlalji Darda’s centenary birth year celebration. The 'Art Beat State Level Drawing Competition' saw a total of 506330 students aged 6 to 15 years who were divided into 5 groups joining together to participate in the drawing competition, from 35 districts across Maharashtra and Goa. The students of PIS, Satara participated actively in the competition and brought the laurels to the school with their remarkable achievements.
Rangoli Competition - 2023
"Rangoli is a spiritual distribution of colours and an expressive tool that can bring people together to work towards a common creative goal, transcending age, language or cultural barriers." Rangoli Competition was conducted @PIS Satara for the students of Grade V and VI. The themes were Rangoli for social causes:'Save Girl Child' and 'No Plastic'. The students used the power of Art, to convey meaningful messages through aesthetic designs. The Rangoli designs were not only visually stunning but also carried an impactful and thought provoking social message.
Parents Teacher Meeting - 2023
The main focus of any PTA (Parents Teacher Meeting) is to work for the prosperity of the school going children. PTAs provide parents and teachers a mutual platform to work for the betterment of the school, teaching and everything that influences the physical and intellectual growth of a child. PTA meetings helps both parents and teachers to involve and discuss and solve any particular issues they are facing. PTA Meeting was held @ PIS, SATARA wherein the members were briefed about the various initiatives taken by the school in order to enhance the academic performance of the students. They were also guided about the upcoming Exams, activities, parent orientation programmes, and also about the various events conducted by the school.

On this joyous occasion of Independence Day, the students of grade 3 and 4 enthusiastically participated in the “Scrapbook Making Competition” which not only showcased their creativity but also their love towards our nation and the respect for the freedom fighters and their endless sacrifice for our country. The students prepared wonderful scrap books that spoke about Integrity, National Symbols and Our Freedom Fighters. This competition gave students the opportunity to exhibit their artistic and innovative skills and also interpret the resilience, valour and indomitable spirit of our nation.

Tribute to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak - 2023
Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak was a celebrated Indian lawyer, nationalist, independence activist, social reformer, and teacher. He was one of the firebrand leaders of the ‘Indian Independence Movement.’ He aroused Indian consciousness and became the strongest proponent of ‘Swaraj’, meaning self-rule. The story of his courage, struggle and dedication in the freedom movement will always inspire the countrymen. It was a rain-soaked Sunday when Bal Gangadhar Tilak breathed his last in Mumbai in the early hours of August 1, 1920 at age 64. Special Assembly was conducted at PIS, Satara to pay a tribute to the 'Father of the Indian Unrest'.

Express Yourself Activity ‘Young Entrepreneurs' - 2023

Podar International School, Satara conducted Express Yourself Activity Under the theme of ‘Young Entrepreneurs – Discovering the Businessman in You’ on 27-7-2023.

Primary grade students enjoyed making attractive flyers to grab the attention of the customers to buy their articles.

Grades 5 and 6, the students participated in a class discussion on the topic -‘Is Entrepreneurship worth leaving a 9-5 Job?’ The students learnt to articulate their thoughts verbally to convey as to how and why entrepreneurship is an important economic activity. The students of Grades 7 and 8 composed Jingles to advertise their favourite products. The writing process involved creating rhyming lines and composing a tune too.

All the students participated enthusiastically.

Celebration of World Youth Skill Day - 2023

Podar International School, Satara celebrated Youth Skills Day with a dynamic program aimed at equipping students with the necessary skills for a successful future.

On this occasion students of std 11th and 12th of Commerce Faculty presented a skit, presentation and interview of well known figures, where they took to the audience from unknown to known face of Mutual Funds, SIP , Shares and so many things.

It was a great fruitful programme for students and teachers. The students' active participation and enthusiasm were evident throughout the event, making it an enriching and memorable experience for all involved. School Bus Transport Meeting - 2023

One of the essential aspects of creating a safer school environment is to invest in a right transport management system that ensures a secured transport of students while simultaneously giving a complete overview and 360 degree support for all school transport operations.

We, at PIS believe and ensure our students safe and comfortable transport. In this light a meeting of 'School Transport Committee' was conducted at PIS Satara. The main highlights of the meeting were safety measures and features in school bus, updates and norms while appointing drivers and lady attendants, drivers' training regarding emergency situations, behaviour and conduct with students, good touch, bad touch etc.

Buses were checked after the meeting and were appreciated for its maintenance and aesthetics by Dy R.T.O. officials and Police Traffic representative.

Guru Purnima reminds us of the immense influence of our Gurus on our life. Their teachings are still values that stay with us forever. A 'Greeting Card Making Competition' was conducted for Grade III and IV students at PIS Satara. Our tiny tots expressed their affection through the creative greeting cards.

Girls Session on the topic 'Approaching the Transition to Adulthood' - 2023
Adolescence is a critical period during which significant personality reorganization occurs. The suddenness and rapid pace, with which the changes take place in the body and mind of adolescents, generate a number of problems and special needs which they find difficult to understand on their own. An Awareness Session was conducted for the girls of Grade VI under the 'Mother and Daughter Program' by the representative of 'Procter and Gamble' Mrs. Madhavi Shelke. Girls were sensitized about the physical and psychological changes and a gift hamper by 'Wisper' was distributed to them.

May 1st is celebrated as 'Maharashtra Day' to mark the statehood status of the state since 1960. International Workers' Day is an opportunity to honour and recognize the contribution of workers towards building infrastructure and providing essential services to the society. It is also a reminder to acknowledge the struggle and movement of workers to attain their rights and improve working conditions. A cultural program was organised which included a group song, Lezim performance , speeches, skit, dance etc. Heartfelt gratitude towards our respected principal Mr. S.S.Rawat for providing a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the event.

Student Council Election and Class Prefect Election - 2023
Student Council Election and Class Prefect Election were held in PIS, Satara on 26th April, 2023. Sst Department teachers conducted the election with the help of IT teachers. All the students from Grade 6 to 12 voted to choose their favourite candidates. Students learnt and experienced the process of election. The overall goal of this educational program is to introduce and familiarize the students of all selected grade levels with voter registration and voting procedures, as well as encourage students to exercise their right to vote once they become eligible.
English Language Day Celebration - 2023
English is one of the most spoken languages of the world. English Language Day at Podar International School, Satara is celebrated on 27th April, 2023. The date(23rd April ,2023) traditionally observed as both the birthday and date of death of William Shakespeare. Eng Department under the guidance of HOD conducted grade wise activities for the students for a week. Teachers participated and presented various activities like skit, ramp walk with messages stating importance of English language. Fire Mock Drill - 2023
Fire Mock Drill was conducted in PIS, Satara on 25th April, 2023.The students were guided by the teachers to evacuate the school building systematically. Evacuation was done in 4.14 Minutes. Use of a fire extinguisher was demonstrated. Security guards, bus drivers and few students also were given a chance to extinguish fire by using fire extinguishers. Fire hydrant system was used too. The Principal, PIS, Satara informed the students about the importance of fire mock drill.

Podar International School, Satara conducted the School Transport Committee meeting recently. The members of the committee for the year 2023-24 were decided. Mr. A. K.
